This was our first year using NY Landscape Lighting for our Christmas lighting needs. They were very professional, prompt and provided great communication. We wanted icicle lighting along our roof, and their lights were fantastic! Our house looked wonderful for the holidays! Looking forward to many years of doing business with them.Posted on Google![]()

Fairfield County is not one lighting problem. It is several, and they change town by town.
Backcountry Greenwich, Weston, and North Stamford properties sit on wooded acreage with long approaches. The roofline is often the smallest part of the job. What reads from the road is the driveway line and the specimen trees, so we plan the run before we plan the roof.
Darien, Rowayton, and Old Greenwich sit close to the water. Salt air corrodes clips, connectors, and cheap plugs faster than most homeowners expect, which is why a display that looked fine in year one fails in year three. We spec connections for coastal exposure.
Ridgefield and New Canaan carry older housing stock with steep pitches, slate, copper gutters, and historic district rules. We fasten without drilling into slate or damaging copper, and we keep the design inside what the district allows.
Every property gets a design visit before a proposal. We look at the house after dark, from the road, from the driveway, and from wherever you actually see it from.
Most companies hanging Christmas lights in Fairfield County do something else for the other ten months. They are landscapers, gutter cleaners, painters, or seasonal crews assembled in October. We are not. Lighting is the whole business, and has been since 2005.
That matters in December, because Christmas lighting is not really an installation problem. It is a reliability problem. Anyone can hang a strand in November. The question is whether it is still running clean on December 23rd after two nor’easters and a freeze.
We use commercial-grade product, we make weather-rated connections, and we design the run so a single failure does not take down a whole elevation.
We are based in Mount Kisco, roughly 30 minutes from the New Canaan and Greenwich lines. We are in Fairfield County through the whole season, not just on install day.
A Christmas display is more than the roof. These are the elements we light on a typical Fairfield County property.
Rooflines, peaks, and dormers. Clean, straight runs sized to the fascia and gutter, fastened without damage to slate, copper, or cedar.
Entries, porticos, and columns. Garland, wreaths, and column wraps at the front door, where guests actually stand.
Specimen trees and evergreens. The mature canopy Fairfield County properties are known for. Wrapped trunks and lit crowns give the front of the house depth instead of a flat outline.
Driveway approaches and stone pillars. On long backcountry drives this is what registers from the road well before the house does.
Walkways, hedges, and foundation plantings. Ground-level light that keeps the display from stopping at the roof.
Windows and railings. Wreaths, candles, and rail wraps that read from the street at night.
Prefer something you never have to book again? Ask about permanent roofline lighting, installed once and controlled from your phone year round.
1. Design visit. We walk the property, take measurements, and agree on what gets lit and in what colour temperature. You get a written proposal, not a number over the phone.
2. Installation. Crews install from late October through November. Every job is scheduled, so you know your week before Thanksgiving.
3. In-season service. If a section fails in December, we come out and fix it.
4. Take down and storage. We remove everything in January.
We install residential and commercial Christmas lights throughout Fairfield County, CT, including Greenwich, Darien, New Canaan, Ridgefield, Weston, Westport, Wilton, Stamford, Norwalk, Rowayton, Old Greenwich, Cos Cob, Riverside, Redding, Easton, and Newtown.
We also install Christmas lights throughout Westchester County, NY, including Mount Kisco, Bedford, Chappaqua, Armonk, Scarsdale, and White Plains.
Book by early October if you want a specific install week. We schedule Fairfield County installs from late October through November, and the weeks before Thanksgiving fill first every year. Calls after mid-November usually get whatever is left.
We supply commercial-grade lighting, custom-cut and built to fit your home. We don’t use big-box retail strands because they’re not built for the job.
Are we locked into a multi-year contract?
Our Christmas lighting agreements run season to season. Some companies in this market write three and five-year terms with cancellation penalties, and homeowners often do not realise it until they try to stop. Ask us for the term in writing before you sign anything, with us or anyone else.
We come out and fix it, at no extra charge, for the whole season. This is the main reason we use commercial-grade product and weather-rated connections. A display that fails on December 20th is the failure that people remember.
Price moves on roofline length, house height, tree count, and access. We give you a written number after the design visit, not a guess over the phone.
Yes. Steep pitches, slate, copper, and three-story elevations are normal work for us across Greenwich, New Canaan, and Ridgefield. We carry the equipment and the insurance for it.
We remove everything in January, and removal is included in the price. Nothing stays on the house through the spring, and nothing goes in your garage.
