This was our first year using NY Landscape Lighting for our Christmas lighting needs. They were very professional, prompt and provided great communication. We wanted icicle lighting along our roof, and their lights were fantastic! Our house looked wonderful for the holidays! Looking forward to many years of doing business with them.Posted on Google![]()

Christmas light installation in Briarcliff Manor, New York is mostly a roofline problem, and the rooflines here are older and more complicated than the county average. The village grew out of Walter Law’s estate after 1902, and the Scarborough side still carries Tudor Revival, Colonial Revival and Victorian houses with slate, dormers, gables and stepped eave lines. A clip run that works on a straight suburban gutter does not sit correctly on any of them.
Scarborough sits on the Hudson side, low and exposed to river wind. The village center and Whitson Road sections are largely 1920s to 1950s colonials and capes with reachable two-story eaves. Chilmark to the north runs newer, with splits and raised ranches on half-acre lots and wide low rooflines that read flat unless the peaks get lit. The Crossroads is a compact block of postwar homes where the whole street is visible at once, so a single house lit well is seen by every neighbour on it.
The other Briarcliff constant is mature canopy. Oaks and maples left from the estate plantings sit close to the houses, so we run cable and set trees around branch structure rather than dropping lines straight down a facade. On the Scarborough and River Road properties, wind exposure decides clip type and cord routing more than the design does.
Our Christmas light installations in Briarcliff Manor cover the house and the planting that frames it. These are the elements we light on a typical village property.
Rooflines and eaves. C9 bulbs clipped to the shingle line or gutter edge, spaced evenly and cut to the run so no cord shows at the corners.
Peaks, gables and dormers. The upper structure is what gives an older Briarcliff house its shape at night, and it is the part most homeowners cannot reach themselves.
Columns, portico and front entry. Wrapped columns and a lit entry carry the display at walking distance, where the roofline is doing nothing for you.
Trees and canopy. Trunk wrapping on the mature oaks and maples, and mini lights through smaller ornamental trees near the drive.
Garland, wreaths and window frames. Lit garland on rails, doors and lamp posts, installed and removed with the rest of the system.
Walkways and driveways. Path lighting along the approach, which matters on the steeper Briarcliff drives where guests park below the house.
We also install permanent roofline lighting for homeowners who want an architectural line on the roof edge year round with programmable holiday colour. That is a different system and we quote it separately.
Every Christmas light installation in Briarcliff Manor starts with a site visit, not a phone quote. We measure the roofline, look at the peaks, the trees and the approach, and price the actual house.
We supply the lights, the clips, the cords and the timers. Nothing is stapled and nothing is nailed into fascia or trim. Clips are sized to the edge they sit on, which is why the older slate and copper details in Scarborough get a different method from a 1990s Chilmark gutter.
Installs run from early November. Once the display is up we stay with it for the season, so a bulb out, a cord pulled loose in a storm or a timer drift is a phone call and not your problem. Takedown happens in January on a scheduled route, and the lights come back to us for storage.
Christmas light installation cost in Briarcliff Manor depends on the house, not on a package tier. These are the things that move a quote up or down on a village property.
| Driver | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Linear feet of roofline | The largest single factor. A rambling Scarborough colonial can carry three times the run of a Crossroads cape. |
| Height and number of stories | Two and three story eaves need taller equipment and more time on the ladder. |
| Roof pitch and material | Steep pitch, slate and older copper gutters all change clip type and install speed. |
| Peaks, gables and dormers | Each additional peak is a separate run with its own cut and its own cord path. |
| Trees and ground elements | Trunk wrapping is priced by trunk height and canopy, not by the tree count. |
| Power access | Older Briarcliff houses often have one exterior outlet on the wrong side of the house. |
Every quote covers design, installation, in-season service, takedown in January and storage until next season. Call (914) 962-2095 and we will price your roofline on site.
Most companies hanging Christmas lights in Briarcliff Manor are landscapers or handymen adding a seasonal line of work. We are not. Lighting is the whole business, and has been since 2005.
That shows up on an older village house. We are on rooflines with slate, copper, deep overhangs and dormer clusters all year for architectural work, so a December install is the same surface we already know how to attach to without damaging it.
We are based at 342 Lexington Avenue in Mount Kisco, roughly 20 minutes from the village. Our crews are through Briarcliff, Ossining and Pleasantville constantly, which is what makes a same-week service call in December realistic rather than a promise.
We install, we service through the season, we take down in January, and we store the system until next year.
We install Christmas lighting throughout Briarcliff Manor and the 10510 zip code, including Scarborough and Scarborough-on-Hudson, Chilmark, Central Briarcliff, the Crossroads, Rosecliff, Meadowbrook Farm, and the streets around Pleasantville Road, Whitson Road, Long Hill Road, Ridgecrest Road and River Road.
We also install Christmas lighting in neighbouring Chappaqua, Mount Kisco, Ossining, Pleasantville and Croton on Hudson.
Yes. We provide commercial holiday lighting installation in Briarcliff Manor for businesses, restaurants, offices, and retail properties, including rooflines, entrances, trees, and architectural features.
We provide them. On a full-service installation we own the strands, cut them to your house, install them, service them through the season, take them down, and store them at our shop until next year. You are not buying a product you then have to test and replace every fall, you are paying for a lit house from Thanksgiving through the holidays.
Yes, takedown and storage are both included. We remove everything in January, clip by clip rather than pulling the strands off the roof, and the lights go back to our shop to be tested before next season. Nothing ends up in bins in your garage.
We install our own commercial-grade LED strands rather than retail sets, because retail strands come in fixed lengths and your roofline does not. That is what causes the bunched tail at one corner and the gap at the other. If you have a piece you are attached to — a specific wreath or a family display — tell us at the estimate and we will work it in.
