Ridgefield, Fairfield County, CT

Christmas Light Installation For Ridgefield's Historic And Hilltop Homes

Christmas light installation in Ridgefield starts with the house, and Ridgefield houses vary more than most. Main Street runs over a mile of Colonial, Georgian Revival, Queen Anne, and Victorian homes. Many of them are antiques with wood clapboard, cedar shake, and trim that shouldn’t take a nail or a screw.

On those houses we clip to shingles and gutters and follow the lines the architecture already gives us: the eave, the gable, the cornice returns. The goal is a house that looks like itself at night, just lit.

Ridgefield also sits high. The village center is around 750 feet, and parts of Ridgebury and West Mountain climb past 1,000. That means more wind and earlier ice than towns closer to the Sound, so every run is secured tighter and checked before we leave.

Out on the larger lots, the work shifts to long driveways, stone walls, and mature trees. That’s where tree wrapping and driveway lighting carry the display from the road.

What We Install In Ridgefield

Holiday Light Installation Services In Ridgefield, CT

Our holiday light installation in Ridgefield covers the whole property, designed as one display rather than a string on the gutter.

Rooflines. Clipped runs along eaves, gables, and ridges, cut to length for your house so there are no loose ends or doubled strands.

Tree wrapping. Trunks and limbs wrapped on specimen trees, or canopy lighting on the larger maples and oaks along a drive.

Entries, wreaths, and garland. Lit garland around the front door and lit wreaths on the windows that face the street.

Walkways, driveways, and stone walls. Low runs that lead guests in and outline the edges of the property after dark.

Permanent roofline lighting. A year-round system on the roof edge with programmable holiday color. It is a different system from seasonal lights and we quote it separately.

Storefronts and Main Street businesses. We also handle commercial holiday lighting for shops, restaurants, and offices, quoted as a separate project.

Seasonal Or Permanent

Seasonal Christmas Lights vs Permanent Roofline Lighting In Ridgefield

Most Ridgefield homeowners who call about Christmas lights are choosing between two systems, seasonal or permanent roof lighting and we install both. Here is how they compare on the same house.

Feature	Seasonal Christmas Light Installation	Permanent Roofline Lighting
What it is	Lights clipped to the house each fall and removed after the season	A fixed system mounted along the roof edge that stays up all year
Look	Classic warm white or multicolor bulbs, plus trees, garland, and wreaths	A clean line on the roof edge with programmable color for any holiday
Covers trees and entries	Yes	Roofline only. Trees and entries are added as seasonal work
Takedown and storage	We take it down and store it for you	Nothing to take down
Year-round use	No	Yes, as an everyday architectural line
Pricing	Priced per season	Quoted as a one-time install
Best fit	Antique and historic homes, full-property displays, homeowners who want a traditional look	Homeowners who want color for several holidays and no fall install each year

About NY Landscape Lighting

Why Ridgefield Homeowners Choose NY Landscape Lighting For Christmas Lights

Ridgefield homeowners choose us for Christmas lights because lighting is the whole business, and has been since 2005. Most holiday installers are landscapers or gutter crews filling the off-season. We are not.

The same company designs your display, installs it, services it during the season, takes it down in January, and stores it until next fall. You deal with one crew and one number.

We also know how light reads on a house. A roofline that ends two feet short of the corner, or a tree wrapped only halfway up, is what separates a professional install from a weekend one. We cut every run to your house so it looks finished from the road.

Our crew is based at 342 Lexington Ave in Mount Kisco, NY, about 25 minutes from Ridgefield, and we work across Fairfield County every season.
