Recent Landscape Lighting Work in Belle Haven, Greenwich
Our most recent landscape lighting project in Fairfield County was on a Belle Haven property in Greenwich — the private peninsula association off Field Point Road that runs down to Long Island Sound. The homeowner had a white cedar arbor over a herringbone brick walk leading from the drive into the rear garden, and after dark the whole approach disappeared. Guests were finding the path by phone flashlight.
We treated the arbor as the frame rather than the subject. Low-glare path fixtures were set back into the bed line on both sides of the walk so the brick reads warm and continuous underfoot, with no hot spots and no fixtures in the sightline. A single narrow-beam uplight went at the base of the Japanese maple beyond the arch, so the tree becomes the destination you walk toward, and soft grazing on the evergreen border closes the far edge of the garden instead of letting it fall into black. Every fixture on the job is solid brass — on a peninsula lot roughly 500 feet from open water, painted aluminum would be chalking inside three seasons.
