Local Knowledge

New Rochelle Rooflines and Why They Matter

New Rochelle is not a town where one clip and one ladder covers every house. The housing stock is unusually varied for Westchester, and the roof decides the job.

Tudors in Wykagyl, Wykagyl Park, and Lyncroft

Steep pitches, multiple gables, dormers, and half-timbering. The hardest roofs in the city to light and the most rewarding done right. Steep slate needs lift access, not ladder work, and gable lines have to run clean or the whole facade reads crooked from the street.

Center Hall Colonials in Bonnie Crest and Forest Heights

Symmetrical fronts that reward an even roofline run and punish a sagging one. Spacing has to stay consistent across the whole face, because the eye catches any drift against a symmetrical elevation.

Mediterranean homes with red tile roofs

Standard gutter and shingle clips do not work on barrel tile. Tile needs its own mounting approach or you get cracked tiles and a repair bill.

Waterfront on Premium Point and Isle of San Souci

Salt air off Long Island Sound corrodes connections and wind exposure pulls runs loose. These properties need marine-grade connectors and more attachment points than an inland house the same size.

Estate homes on the Paine Heights boulevards

Long frontages, mature specimen trees, and enough setback that the display has to read from the street rather than from the front walk.

Mature canopy near Pinebrook and Ward Acres

Trunk wraps and canopy lighting on specimen trees that already anchor the property. On these lots the trees carry more of the display than the roofline does.

What We Install

Roofline lighting- Clean lines along gutters, gables, peaks, and dormers. Warm white or color, C9 or mini, your choice.
Tree wrapping- Trunk wraps and canopy lighting on the specimen trees that already anchor the property.
Wreaths and garland- Fresh or permanent, hung and secured properly.
Walkway and driveway- Stakes and markers along the approach.
Commercial and municipal – We also install commercial Christmas lighting such as storefronts, office buildings, and public buildings.

FAQs

When do I need to book?

Earlier than most people expect. New Rochelle install routes fill by early November and the best crews in Westchester are booked out before Thanksgiving. Booking in August or September gets you a choice of install dates. Booking in December gets you whatever is left.

Can you do our roof? It is steep slate.

Yes. Steep slate and multi-gable Tudors are common in Wykagyl and we equip for them. Some companies cap out at what a ladder reaches and quietly leave the upper gables off the design. We quote the roof you have, and if a section genuinely cannot be done safely we tell you before you sign rather than after.

Do you only do Christmas lighting?

No. We are a year-round outdoor lighting company and have been since 2005. Holiday lighting is one season of the work. We also install landscape lighting, patio and deck lighting, permanent roofline lighting, and outdoor audio.
